ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern men's cross country team returns to action on Friday at the Wilmington Jenna Strong Fall Invitational ... The women's 6k championship race will start tat 4:30 p.m. while the men's 8k race is slated to begin at 5:15 p.m. ... A total of 43 teams are expected to compete, including 14 NCAA Division III programs ... ONU is coming off a solid fourth place finish at the All-Ohio Championships on Sept. 29 ... Senior All-American Ian McVey won the individual title for the second year in a row, finishing in 24:23, which is the second-fastest time in school history for 8,000 meters ... Senior Spencer Schulze was 21st in 25:38 ... Freshman Caden Sauerbrey, sophomore Jordan Green, and sophomore Travis Sutter wound up 33rd in 26:04.8, 40th in 26:16.7, and 44th in 26:25.9 to finish third-through-fifth on the team, respectively.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is currently in his 10th season as head coach of the men's and women's cross country teams at Ohio Northern ... He has guided the men's teams to a 1,011-228 record, a winning percentage of .816 … Maus currently stands as the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern school history for both men's and women's cross country.
