Women's Tennis wins second consecutive OAC Tournament crown with 4-0 finals victory over John Carroll

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team won its second consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament crown with a 4-0 finals victory over John Carroll indoors on Saturday.

• Ohio Northern won the doubles point by taking Nos. 1 and 3 doubles courts, then grabbed the Nos. 3, 4 and 6 singles courts to secure the victory.
• Junior Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) and freshman Caroline Robinson (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) won 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.
• Senior Miranda Wills (Ada) and freshman Lauren Okrainec (Ingersoll, ON, Canada/Homeschool) won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles to win the doubles point for the Polar Bears.
• Junior Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to increase Northern's lead to 2-0.
• Freshman Leah Schleibaum (West Chester/Lakota West) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to make it 3-0.
• Junior Abby Cruser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) then clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles.
