Junior Marisa Alfes named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar for 2024-25

ADA — Junior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) has been named an All-American Scholar for 2024-25 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

The criteria for WGCA All-American Scholar honors is a 3.50 GPA, be an amateur and have played in 50 percent or more of the team's events during the season.

A total of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs across the country were honored on Monday.

Alfes, a finance major, is a three-time All-OAC honoree, winning the individual OAC title this season. She finished 25-over par 79-76-82-76—313.

Her score of 313 tied her own mark as the third lowest 72-hole score in ONU history.

This season, she led the team with an 80.5 average for 21 rounds.

In three years at ONU, she has a career average of 80.2, which ranks second all-time at ONU.

The Polar Bears finished second in the OAC Championships in 2024-25 under 12th-year head coach Chad Bucci.
