Women's Basketball picked to finish second in 24-25 OAC Coaches poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team has been picked to finish the Ohio Athletic Conference in the 2024-25 OAC preseason poll voted on by league coaches.
ONU received 69 points in the poll. Baldwin Wallace was tabbed as league favorites with 81 points and nine first place votes. Capital is picked third with 64 points and the final first place vote and Marietta is fourth with 54 points.
Fifth-year head coach Mark Huelsman returns four starters and 15 letter winners from last year's squad that finished 19-10 overall and 13-5 in the OAC. The Polar Bears won the OAC Tournament title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Polar Bears will open their 2024-25 season on Friday with a 7 p.m. home game with Wittenberg at the ONU Sports Center.
