Junior Britt Lauck has career day as the No. 15 Ohio Northern Women's Basketball team falls to No. 1 Thomas More (Ky.)

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — The No. 15 ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team fell to No. 1 ranked Thomas More (Ky.) 75-61 Saturday afternoon at the the Connor Convocation Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 2-2 overall, while Thomas More improves to 2-0.
Northern was led in the contest by junior Britt Lauck with a career-high 20 points.
Senior Carly Thomas added 15 points for Northern.
After falling behind in the first quarter 14-9 the Polar Bears would string together a 5-0 run led by junior Angela Tesny to tie the game at 14-14 with 00:40 remaining.
Northern would go on to out score the Saints in the the first quarter 16-14.
In the second quarter, Northern would continue to push as a jumper from Thomas would put ONU on top 20-18 with 7:41 to play before the break.
A layup from Lauck with 1:19 remaining in the second quarter would lead to a Polar Bear 30-28 halftime advantage.
However, Thomas More would regain the lead in the third quarter as Kaylee Bush would make a layup to put the Saints on top 43-39 with 2:44 to play.
Thomas More would finish the quarter on a 5-0 run to take the 51-46 advantage.
The Thomas More offense continued to work in the fourth quarter opening with another 8-0 run to take the 59-46 lead with 7:37 to play.
Thomas would halt the run with a layup for the Polar Bears but the Saints offense was to much as they held on for the 75-61 victory.
Thomas More was led by Nikki Kiernan with a game-high 30 points.
Northern returns to action Sunday as they take on Centre (Ky.) at 2 pm as part of the Thomas More Tournament.
