UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — Junior Allie Wilson (Wapakoneta) collected her 100th career base hit, leading the Ohio Northern softball team in a doubleheader sweep at John Carroll on Saturday afternoon. ONU won the first game 3-0 and won 5-4 in game two.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (12-16 Overall, 7-3 OAC), John Carroll (9-13 Overall, 1-6 OAC).

Game 1 - W, 3-0
- Wilson hit an RBI double in the fifth inning and hit a solo homer in the seventh inning to score two of Northern's three runs.
- Sophomore Carlie Schroeder (Wapakoneta) fouled out to right field to score Wilson in the fifth inning for ONU's other run.
- Wilson and senior Mariana Alejandro (Gibsonburg) each went 2-for-3 to lead the Polar Bears.
- Senior Ashley Lenser (Brookville) pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts to get the win in the circle for ONU, improving to 8-8 on the season.
- ONU out-hit JCU 6-5.
Game 2 - W, 5-4
- John Carroll started off with two runs in the first inning.
- Wilson hit another home run, this time scoring two runs, to earn her 100th career hit and tie up the game in the second inning.
- The Blue Streaks answered with a two-run homer of their own in the third inning to take a 4-2 lead.
- Freshman Jaylee Fansler (Plainfield, Ind./Avon) and Lenser each had and RBI double, while Wilson hit an RBI single all in the sixth inning to secure the win.
- Lenser pitched the last four innings, striking out four and earning another win in the circle.

- Ohio Northern is now 56-22 all-time against John Carroll.
- Wilson became the 49th member of ONU's 100-Hit Club. She now has 101 hits in 101 career games.
- Wilson had a 4-for-7 day with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs to lead the Polar Bears.
