Chillin' with a Polar Bear: Kyle Roth
Ohio Northern men's cross country senior Kyle Roth is a native of Rockford, Ohio, and an alum of Parkway High School.
A two-year letterman and marketing major, Roth has competed in 19 events in his ONU career and owns a career-best 8k time of 25:18, which he set as a junior at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.
Roth has competed in all six events so far this year, posting a season-best time of 25:33 at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational. He has placed among ONU's top seven finishers in five of the six events.
Most recently, he finished 49th of 158 runners at the OAC Championships with a time of 26:29.
Last season, Roth finished among ONU's top seven in all seven varsity events and was the top Polar Bear across the finish line in six of them. He earned All-OAC Second Team accolades with a 13th-place finish at the OAC Championships with a time of 26:58.
Roth is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, and he earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and USTFCCCA All-Academic honors as a junior.
He also competes in the distance events as part of the ONU men's track and field team.
