No. 31 Men's Cross Country finishes 4th at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The No. 31-ranked Ohio Northern men's cross country team finished 4th out of 36 teams with 165 points at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional meet Saturday afternoon at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country course in Terre Haute, Ind.
Northern improves to 134-9 overall on the season.
The Polar Bears will wait to see if if they receive one of the 16 at-large bids given nationwide to the NCAA III Championships.
Ohio Northern was led across the finsih line by freshman Ian McVey, who finished 19th in 25:51.6 earning All-Region honors.
Also earning All-Region honors for Northern was junior Kase Schalois, finishing 21st in 25:53.2, and junior Andrew Harden, finishing 22nd in 25:53.3.
The top 35 individuals earn All-Region honors.
Sophomore Matt Molinaro finished 43rd in 26:18.9 and sophomore Bobby Borger finished 60th in 26:40.1.
No. 12 Wabash (Ind.) won the team title with 99 points and No. 11 Allegheny (Pa.) was second with 101 points, claiming the two automatic bids to the NCAA III Championships.
No. 24 Calvin (Mich.) was third with 122 points, followed by No. 31 Northern in fourth with 165 points.
Geno Arthur of Oberlin won the race in 25:13.7.
