ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team swept NAIA foe St. Francis (Ind.) 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Basics

- Northern swept the three doubles courts and all six singles courts.
- Junior Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and freshman Tyler Wood (Toldeo/St. John's Jesuit) won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles.
- Junior Drew Swisher (Findlay) and freshman Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
- Senior Iasaac Spar (Ada) and junior T.J. Schultz (Grand Blanc, Mich.) won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
- Junior Sam Sran (Punjab, India/St. Stephens and Gian Jyoti Global) won 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 at No. 1 singles.
- Specht won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 and Wood won 6-4, 7-6 at No. 3.
- Senior Kavya Desai (Bloomfield Hills, Mich) won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
- Swisher won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles
- Sophomore Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.
Notables
- The match was the third of Northern's five-match spring break trip this week.
- Specht, Swisher, Wood and Hackenberger all went 2-0 on the day.
- Wood leads the team with a 13-5 singles record.
- Specht has a team-best 15-4 doubles mark and Hackenberger is a team-best 25-5 overall.
- ONU is now 3-0 all-time against the Cougars.
- Second-year head coach Sean Swisher is now 20-13 at the helm of the ONU men's tennis team, a winning percentage of .606.
