Men's Golf tops Heidelberg 4-1 in match play dual

HARROD — The Ohio Northern men's golf team defeated Heidelberg 4-1 in a match play dual match on Saturday at Colonial Golf Course in Harrod.

The Polar Bears improve to 7-16-2 overall on the season.

Senior Ethan Smith (Londonderry/Southeastern) rallied from being down four holes with six to go to win 1-up.

Junior Andrew Slusher (Covington) defeated Connor VanSyock 8 and 6.

Junior Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) won 6 and 4 over Chace Boothman.

Junior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) also rallied late, winning 1-up after trailing by two with six to go.

Sophomore Josh Steyer (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) fell on a 30-foot putt on 18 to drop his match 1-up.

The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday and Sunday, April 10-11 in two Heidelberg Spring Classic tournaments at Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin.
