Brennon Norris, Jonmichael Elliott named OAC Football Players of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior quarterback Brennon Norris (Steubenville/Indian Creek) and junior kicker/punter Jonmichael Elliott (Richmond, Va./Clover Hill) were named OAC Football Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 4-10.
Norris was named Offensive Player of the Week, and Elliott was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
This marks the first such accolade for Norris in his career and second for Elliott.
The recognition for Norris comes after he scored five touchdowns in ONU's 40-7 win over Capital on Saturday.
He was an efficient 22-of-30 passing (73.3%) for 253 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions while adding three rushes for 17 yards, including a 9-yard touchdown run.
Elliott was a significant contributor on special teams against the Comets.
He was 2-for-2 on field goals of 32 and 42 yards and 3-for-3 on extra points for nine total points in the game. He also punted four times for 161 yards (40.3 average) with a long of 51 yards and two downed inside the 20-yard line and averaged 53.5 yards with five touchbacks on eight kickoffs.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday when they host OAC foe Heidelberg at 6 p.m.
