He finished the day 29-of-49 for 502 yards and 7 scores and became the first Polar Bear in school history to eclipse the 500-yard passing mark in a game. WR Chase Rose finished the day with 5 receptions for 145 yards and WR Austin Eick 7 seven passes for 129 yards. ONU out-gained WC in total offense 650-334.
ONU Last Week: ONU rolled up a season-high 462 yards of offense and posted a 42-7 victory at Otterbein. Northern struck quickly when QB Adan Figueroa hit WR L.J. Payton on a 68-yard pass on its first play from scrimmage, putting the ball at the OU 10-yard line. Figueroa then swept in on the next play and it was 7-0 ONU with 2:59 gone in the contest. DE Josh Bever had 10 tackles and a sack and DB Dalton Tjong had seven tackles and a 19-yard pick-6 to lead the Northern defense. ONU out-gained OU 462-208 in total offense.
ONU Leaders: The Ohio Northern running game is led by All-American RB Brock Martin (146 att, 477 yards) and QB Adan Figueroa (85 att, 265 yards, 2 TDs). QB Adam Dixon completed 20-of-38 for 206 yards and a TD with WR Itika Wynn Jr. and WR Ace Taylor hauling in a combined 14 passes. RB Ben Hobbs and RB Nehemiah Jenkins combined for 140 yards rushing. Wilmington outgained Muskingum 390-357 and ran 81 plays compared to 58 for the Muskies.
