Last Meeting: There were 3 TDs scored in the game's final 1:45, including the game-winner with just :08 left as HU edged ONU 33-32 in Ada. QB Brody Hahn threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to WR Jette Morgan with :45 left to give ONU a 32-27 lead. But HU answered with a 4-play, 61-yard TD drive to win the game. DL Josh Bever led a strong defensive effort with nine tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble, earning him OAC Player of the Week accolades. ONU turned a pair of early interceptions into a 14-0 lead just 4:46 into the game. WR Austin Eick caught 8 passes for 104 yards and RB Brock Martin ran 23 times for 89 yards. Prior to the contest, Heidelberg and Otterbein commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Rhine River Cup game, when the two schools played to a 7-7 draw in the first collegiate football game on German soil in 1992. The 'Berg defense was dominant once again, limiting the Cardinals to 238 yards of total offense. QB Drew Sims threw for 297 yards and 4 TDs on 24-of-32 passing.
HU Leaders: The Heidelberg running game is led by RB Montavious Yearby (43 att, 164 yards, 1 TD) and RB Jarin Curtis (13 att, 46 yards). QB Drew Sims is 37-of-54 passing for 558 yards and 6 TDs. WR Dimitri Penick (15 rec, 201 yards, 2 TDs) and WR Brandon Reed (6 rec, 111 yards, 2 TDs) lead the receivers. LB Parker Smith, DB Griffin Pendry and LB Easton St. Clair lead the defense with 12, 11 and 11 tackles, respectively.
