Eight named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Football for 2021

ADA — Eight Ohio Northern student/athletes were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in football for 2021 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Seniors Brody Hahn (Louisville) and Austin Eick (Rossford) were named First Team All-OAC, seniors Brock Martin (Attica/Seneca East), Jared Ritenour (Rockford, Ill./Lake Center), Chase Rose (Kenton/Upper Scioto Valley) and junior Josh Bever (Ashland) were Second team All-Conference picks and senior Jarrett Sitton (Paulding) and junior Nichal Johnson (College Park, Ga./Northgate) received Honorable Mention All-OAC honors.
This year's All-OAC squad returned to the standard First and Second Team selection format after the 2020 team was not divided up between First and Second Teams due to the COVID-19 shortened season.
Hahn had another record-setting season in his second year as a Polar Bear after transferring from Muskingum, where he was a three-year starter.
He completed 203-of-357 passes for a school-record 3,061 yards and a school-record 32 touchdowns this season.
Hahn also threw for a school-record 502 yards and tied the single-game record with 29 completions, going 29-of-49, in a 62-27 victory at Wilmington.
In just 14 games as a Polar Bear, Hahn threw for 4,270 yards and 42 touchdowns. His 4,270 passing yards ranks him 10th all-time in ONU history.
In his five seasons as a collegian, Hahn threw for an impressive 9,147 yards and 72 touchdowns.
He is now a two-time All-OAC honoree.
Eick is now a three-time All-Conference selection at receiver, after earning Honorable Mention kudos in 2019 and 2020.
He caught 60 passes for 1,037 yards and an OAC-best 12 touchdowns this season, becoming just the sixth Polar Bear to reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark in the season. In his 34 game career, Eick ranks fifth with 125 receptions and is sixth with 2,206 receiving yards to go with 29 touchdowns.
Martin is now a three-time All-OAC honoree after earning First Team honors in 2019 and Second Team kudos as a freshman in 2018.
He carried the ball 141 times for 626 yards and five touchdowns and returned 15 kickoffs for 308 yards to finish the with 934 all-purpose yards this year.
Martin was named Second Team All-America by the Associated Press in 2019 and was a Second Team Academic All-American last season.
In 34 career games, he ranks 14th all-time in ONU history with 1,860 rushing yards to go with 21 rushing touchdowns. He also has caught 27 passes for 270 yards and has returned 44 kickoffs for 887 yards to amass 3,017 all-purpose yards.
Ritenour has now been selected All-OAC in both of his seasons as the starter at left tackle for ONU. He has played in 24 career games.
Rose is now a three-time All-Conference honoree at receiver after being named Second Team as a junior in 2019 and All-OAC in 2020.
This season, he caught 43 passes for 817 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In his 38-game career, he ranks seventh all-time in ONU history with 114 receptions and is seventh with 2,058 yards to go with 23 scores.
Bever is a three-time All-OAC pick at defensive end. He was named Third Team All-North Region and First Team All-OAC as a freshman in 2019 and was All-OAC as a sophomore last season.
This season, Bever had 66 tackles, 6.0 sacks and 8.5 TFL. In his three seasons as a Polar Bear, Bever ranks fifth all-time in ONU history with 22.0 sacks and is tenth with 32.0 TFL to go with 147 tackles in 24 games.
Sitton is also a three-time All-OAC pick at defensive tackle as he was Honorable Mention as a defensive end in 2019 and All-OAC last year.
He finished this season with 55 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 11.0 TFL. In 33 career games, Sitton has 156 tackles, 14.5 sacks and 24.0 TFL.
Johnson has started all 14 games at defensive end the past two seasons and is a two-time Honorable Mention All-OAC award winner.
He finished this year with 51 tackles, 2.0 sacks and 7.0 TFL.
In 20 career games, Johnson has 79 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 17.0 TFL.
The Polar Bears posted a 4-6 record and finished seventh in the OAC this season under 18th-year head coach Dean Paul.
