Ohio Northern women win fourth consecutive Tim Gleason OAC All-Sports Trophy; Kylie Cabana, Jacob Reed win Clyde Lamb Awards

ADA — The Ohio Northern women won the 2024-25 Tim Gleason Ohio Athletic Conference All-Sports Trophy, while the ONU men finished third, the league office announced Monday night at the 41st annual Clyde Lamb Awards banquet at Otterbein.
Fifth-year senior Kylie Cabana (Dexter, Mich.) and senior Jacob Reed (Canal Winchester/Lancaster) were awarded the prestigious Clyde Lamb Award by the OAC on Monday.
Ten male and ten female student-athletes, one from each of the OAC institutions, have been chosen as the 2024-25 Clyde A. Lamb winners. All 20 recipients were recognized at the banquet.
The Clyde A. Lamb Awards are named in honor of the man who organized the Department of Health and Physical Education at Ohio Northern in 1929. He served as coach, department chairman and athletics director at ONU from 1929-64.
Criteria for the award include at least two year's participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum grade point average of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student- athlete and his/her institution.
Cabana is a three-time All-OAC pick on ONU's women's soccer team.
She was named First Team Academic All-America, Third Team All-America in 2022, 1st Team All-OAC and was the OAC Defender of the Year in 2022.
Cabana was also the Defender of the Year in 2024.
She is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree and was a two-time Scholar All-American.
Cabana started all 22 games this season and recorded four assists and one goal, which was a game-winner. In her career, she has played 73 matches, including 69 starts, with 38 points on 11 goals and 16 assists.
Reed was ONU's men's winner. He was a three-time All-American and a four-time NCAA Championships qualifier on the wrestling team.
He was a four-time NWCA Scholar All-American and a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree.
Reed finished his season 32-3 and ranks second all-time in ONU history with a career record of 148-10.
In the Tim Gleason Women's All-Sports Trophy race, the Polar Bears compiled 81.50 points to defeat second-place John Carroll by 7.25 points for the title.
Ohio Northern has now won the women's all-sports trophy for the fourth consecutive year and the 16th time overall. The Polar Bears won OAC titles in outdoor track, tennis and soccer in the 2024-25 season.
John Carroll won the men's crown with 89.50 points. Mount Union was second with 85.75 points and ONU was third with 83.50 points.
