ADA — The Ohio Northern track and field program is hosting a Jumps and Throws Camp for student-athletes in grades 7-12 on Dec. 17-18.
The two-day commuter camp provides progressive drills, jump/throw sessions and individualized video analysis designed to help participants achieve personal-bests in their respective events.
The events featured in the camp include pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put and weight throw.
The cost to participate in the full camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, is $220 and includes lunch on both days, camp T-shirts (if registered by Nov. 14), elite-level coaching and special guest speakers.
A one-day option is also available for $120, but it does not provide the same experience as the two-day camp.
The camp will be held on the ONU campus at King Horn Sports Center, which is located at 609 West Lincoln Avenue in Ada.
There will be a limited amount of pole vault poles, shots and weights available to borrow, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Participants should also bring a change of clothes, socks, spikes, flats and throwing shoes as well as a notebook and pen and energy bars or other snacks.
Registration should be completed online at https://payment.onu.edu/C21185_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=188.
