Freshman Travis Feitshans has career night, leads Men's Basketball to 84-76 victory over Baldwin Wallace

ADA — Freshman Travis Feitshans scored a career-high 17 points and dished out a career-high seven assists to lead Ohio Northern to an 84-76 men's basketball victory over Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears (12-12 overall, 7-10 Ohio Athletic Conference) had five players in double figures in scoring, led by senior Jordan Martin with 19 points.
Senior Lucas Pennington had 13 points, a team-high eight rebounds and six assists, sophomore Konnor Baker added 13 points and senior Isaiah Roux chipped in 11 points for ONU.
Matt Dennis had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (16-8 overall, 10-7 OAC).
"We hung in there when we got behind, then we kept our composure late when it got close," ONU head coach Kevin Byrne said. "Our three seniors played really well in their final games at home and Travis Feitshans was terrific. All of our guys played well. This was a good win against a quality opponent."
Feitshans scored 13 of his points and dished out five assists in the second half as ONU rallied from a 43-35 deficit with 17 minutes left in the game.
Baker scored eight consecutive points to get ONU within 45-43, then Feitshans scored seven straight, including just his eighth 3-pointer of the season, to give Ohio Northern a 52-50 lead with 13:12 to go.
Then it was Martin's turn, scoring ONU's next nine points to put the Polar Bears ahead 61-54 with 9:20 remaining.
A basket by Roux and two free throws by penning capped ONU's 32-13 run and made it a 67-56 game with just over seven minutes remaining.
A 3-point play by martin extended ONU's lead to 75-62 with 3:46 left, but that's when BW stormed back.
Two free throws by Dennis made it a 75-71 game and his 3-point play made it 77-74 with 1:51 left in the game.
Roux made one of two free throws with 1:50 to go and Feitshans got a steal that led to a Roux layup and ONU led 80-74 with 1:10 left.
Roux made two more free throws with 31 seconds left and Fietshans got a breakaway layup with 10 seconds left to seal the win.
Ohio Northern made 31-of-61 field goals for 50.8 percent and Baldwin Wallace made 29-of-63 field goal attempts for 46.0 percent.
Northern was 9-of-16 from 3-point range for 56.3 percent and made 13-of-15 free throws for 86.7 percent.BW out-rebounded ONU 40-27.
The Polar Bears bulit an early 19-8 lead and were up 30-21 with 3:35 left in the halfd.
But BW scored the final 11 points of the first half and the first four of the second half to cap a 15-0 run and go ahead 36-30.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their regular season on Saturday at No. 9-ranked Marietta.
